After attending a couple monthly meetings, I just recently joined the club. I am anxious to gain some new hunting grounds. Are most of the landowners accomodating to new members. I have hunted for many years and know how to approach landowners when asking for permission. I'm just curious if any of the senior members of the club have any advice for me.

The land owners are accomodating to members. But remember most are doing double duty as farmers and holding down a job so it is best to try and contact them on off days such as rain days or after supper.I try not to bother them on Sunday because this is the only time the family may all be home also remember how you look tells a lot.Smile

Thanks for the reply. I have contacted a few farms and was able to gain access. I spent a pleasant morning hunting woodchucks and even had a senior member stop by to make sure I had my card and permission. Him and I had a great chat together.

mjblaze458,

All current landowners listed in the folder allow hunting.

Feel free to visit them in advance of hunting season to request permission to hunt and have them sign a permission slip. Also ask for details on where to hunt and park. Be sure to let them know in advance of the day you wish to hunt.

If you notice that the posted signs need to be replaced, see one of the trustees at the next meeting you attend.

Good Hunting this year!

Amark
