Deer Photo Contest
Get those deer pictures over to Howard Hines. We are judging the adult division as
well as a youth division. Prizes to be announced at the next meeting.
2016 Raffle Tickets
I sent letters requesting payment to the 75 members who have yet to pay for the 2016 Gun Raffle tickets. Just to set the record straight; Every member is responsible to sell 5 $10.00 tickets each year. You can sell them or pay for them yourself. This is a condition of membership. Payment is due prior to the raffle.

In the News
As I understand the incident two individuals kill a deer illegally on a farm they didn’t have permission to hunt.
The hell of it is that the posers announced themselves, to the farmer, as LaGrange Hunt club members just before they fled. The conservation officer confiscated the deer to donate the meat.
The repercussions:
Rumors spread like wildfire and our club’s integrity suffers among the farmer community. Your board members have the unenviable task of mending relationships.
I know I am preaching to the choir, but please wear your badge when hunting. Only hunt on the farm where you have permission. Ask your host farmer to show you the boundaries where you can hunt. Should your quarry run onto an adjacent farm after being shot you need to get permission to retrieve your animal.

Family Oriented Hunt Club

The Lagrange Hunting & Fishing Club has a long rich history in Lorain County with many more good years ahead of us. The Club started in 1933 with a group of Farmers hunting together and currently has 140 farms on the rooster. Today we support the local hunters and fishermen by hosting guest speakers on outdoor topics related to hunting and fishing at our meetings.
